Summary of Job Duties: The Healthcare Enrollment and Revenue Specialist (HERS) position will oversee the Medicaid portion of the revenue cycle by analyzing and auditing various Medicaid reports. This position requires an understanding of Medicaid with a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long Term Care Program or PACE Program. The HERS is also responsible for receiving Medicaid enrollment documentation, generating invoices, processing cash receipts, and monitoring and reconciling accounts receivable at a participant level for all Community LIFE participants. The HERS will ensure that Community LIFE is paid accurately for the participants’ level of Medicaid and that their benefits are coordinated accordingly.
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is desirable.
Required Experience: Two years accounts receivable or Medicaid experience, specifically in a healthcare environment (Experience requirement waived for a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance).
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, particularly in Skilled Nursing Facility, Long Term Care, or PACE program
- Detail Oriented
- Good Organization Skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Team / Customer Oriented
- Competency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Desired or Preferred Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
- Experience reviewing PA 162 Forms
- Experience using the Promise System
- Experience using CMS MARX and HPMS systems
- Experience using Sage 100c
