SUMMARY & ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned).
Primary Function of this position is to ensure quality academic and enrichment programming is provided to school aged youth. Position is responsible for facilitating group activities, concerned with the health and safety of the children, performs educational and non-educational functions that contribute to the development of children.
· Directs all activities of classroom
· Assumes the leadership role in providing a conducive educational climate
· Insures a healthy and safe facility
· Develop and implement daily and overall instructional plan of activities for youth
· Assist with center emergencies (i.e., center closing, sick children, evacuation)
· Assist with classroom and other site coverage as needed
· Maintains confidentiality in all program areas
· Demonstrates a positive work ethic

SALARY: $25.00 per hour
Part time 9am - 12pm and 12:30pm-3pm July - August summer program at the following Centers:
EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE
Associates or Bachelor degree in Human Services, Education or related field with course work in adolescent development, NYS Certification. One to two years working experience with low-income youth and families; or equivalent education and experience, and demonstrated knowledge of agencies within Erie County that serve needs of youth.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
