Smyth Auto parts is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to drive business growth through effective sales strategies and partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, wholesale/aftermarket operations, and business development within the automotive parts industry. The position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and covers select markets in Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers addressing their needs and fostering long-term loyalty through effective communication and collaboration.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for, service enhancements, and process improvements.
- Able to develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth, focusing on expanding market presence and revenue by using insights from market analysis and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and operations to ensure sales initiatives and customer satisfaction, with communication and project management skills.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics as well as market trends to inform strategic decision making and drive continuous improvement.
- Travel at least 30% to visit store locations, meet with clients, and attend events.
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business management preferred; can be substituted for related experience such as Sales, Marketing or related field.
- Proven track record of success in wholesale/aftermarket sales management and business development within the automotive parts industry.
- Must be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, demonstrated through innovative approaches to sales strategy and business development.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction, informed by insights from successful implementations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and other relevant business tools and technologies.
