Advanced Hand & Orthopedics (AHO) is a dynamic well established therapist owned private practice seeking a full time and/or part time Physical or Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist to work in Anchorage, Alaska. AHO provides services to a wide variety of patients consisting primarily of post operative care for the entire upper extremity. Post operative cases such as fracture care, tendon care, joint replacement, and shoulder/elbow reconstruction. We also specialize in generalized preventative care for non-traumatic injury. We work closely with hand surgeons, general orthopedic surgeons and physicians in the Anchorage area.
The practice was established in 1993 and continues to grow due to the excellent 1:1 care provided. We are looking for the right therapist to help us balance quality of care and quality of life to join AHO. A clinician dedicated to providing excellent rehabilitation to restore optimal upper extremity function to each and every patient. A clinician to make a meaningful change in a patient's life through education, integrity, and positive rehabilitation outcomes. The therapist's caseload is interesting with a good working relationship with many different physicians.

Applicant must be an Physical or Occupational Therapist preferably Certified Hand Therapist, eligible for Alaska state license. Believe in 1:1 approach to therapy, demonstrate accurate and thorough documentation skills, have diverse experience, and have strong orthosis skills. Then this position is for you!
Salary paid hourly is dependent on experience, 4 day work week, 10 hour days

Job Requirements
Physical or Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist preferred or on track for CHT
Graduate from approved School of OT/PT
Eligible for AK state license
NCBOT current registration
Demonstrate accurate and thorough documentation skills
Ability to fabricate custom orthosis

Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients with hand injuries or conditions.
- Conduct assessments to determine patients' needs and develop treatment plans.
- Utilize critical care experience to provide specialized care for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients on exercises and techniques to improve hand function.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in hand therapy.
