Housing Operations Management Enterprises (HOME) Inc. seeks an experienced service and / or affordable housing provider to build and manage its department for Housing Counseling Programs. The department's current program is a newly-initiated five-year HUD Mobility Counseling Services program for central and southwest Connecticut. Past programs include mobility counseling search assistance services to numerous rental subsidy agencies including the Connecticut Department of Housing, the Connecticut Department of Social Services, Elm City Communities / Housing Authority of the City of New Haven, and the City of New Haven. Past programs also include mobility-oriented relocation of families and individuals for a number of clients. Future programs will depend largely on the drive and creativity of its director.
The goal of the counseling programs is to identify and assist participants in their search for safe, affordable housing in areas of their choice, and otherwise secure housing quality and stability. The Director will be responsible for not only ensuring the quality of the delivery of its services, but will also be charged with enriching and expanding its services.
This position reports directly to the President of HOME INC.
Salary / Benefits
Full-time position
Salary: $50,000 - 75,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Position in range depends on extent of relevant experience, supervisory experience, and similar factors.
