Multilingual Teacher - Full-time
Position Summary:
The Multilingual (ML) Teacher is responsible for ensuring that instructional practice and assessment systems are available for Multilingual Learners. The ML Teacher collaborates with school leadership and the ML Coordinator to develop effective ML programming and instructional practices. The ML Teacher focuses on assisting students to increase their English language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening by providing specific instruction to meet individual needs.
Qualifications:
Must meet ESSA teacher requirements.
Colorado Educator License with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) endorsement required.
Bilingual in English/Spanish language preferred

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Teach language acquisition classes to students who qualify as a Multilingual Learner by providing high quality instruction in English language development to students in grades K-5 with focus in areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and students eligible for ML services to ensure language development.
Implement ML services in compliance with State, Federal, and Authorizer guidelines.
Provide interventions for students.
Assist in the training of staff (administrative, certificated and classified) on subjects that are related to ML.
Provide supplemental support and assistance to all classroom teachers, including analysis of data using the school's student information system and student assessment system.
Participate in program reviews.
Assess the learning, achievement, and performance of each student and report the results as required by school procedures.
Provide engaging, motivating, and rigorous instruction in whole-class, small group, and individual settings.
Plan for and deliver academic support to small groups or individual learners as needed/scheduled.
Play a direct role in developing and strengthening a warm, consistent, and focused school culture in which learning time is maximized and all students are fully engaged.
Teach, support, and always enhance school-wide systems and expectations with all children.
Enter and maintain student achievement data in all school data systems.
Actively participate in all professional development and learning opportunities, demonstrating a desire toward continual improvement and learning.
Continuously use feedback from leaders, colleagues, and families to make productive changes in instructional practices and overall performance.
Complete all administrative requirements on or before given deadlines.
Develop work relationships that respect others' strengths and abilities.
