ResponsibilitiesState Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, a Fortune 50 company, is offering an opportunity to join our Law Department as a paralegal in our Life/Health/Investment Planning Services Section of the Corporate Law Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assistance with life and health insurance matters, legal and factual research work, writing and analysis, communicating and working directly with clients, litigation, project work, and other duties as assigned. Candidates should possess attention to detail, strong communication skills both written and verbal, organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to handle competing priorities and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Qualifications- Prior experience as a paralegal, paralegal degree/certificate/certification, or relevant coursework or legal studies degree is required
- Experience and understanding of working in a legal environment
- Experience in document production
- Familiarity with an insurance environment
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Technical proficiency with database usage, electronic document management, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office products
