Bluestone BankDescription:
The Facilities Technician, under the direction of the VP Director of Corporate Services, maintains high standard of interior and exterior appearance, safety, functionality and preservation of all Bluestone Bank properties. These standards will be maintained within established practices, procedures and regulations utilizing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general mechanical, maintenance and janitorial skills.
Essential Functions

- Performs general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, electrical and HVAC troubleshooting, janitorial, and general mechanical repairs.
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read building plans, installation of small VCT jobs, installation of small carpet jobs, installation of ceramic tiles, installation of lock sets and door hardware.
- Assists with building security; including alarms, keys, security cameras, fire systems as needed. Safeguards keys, codes, and access cards entrusted to him/her and helps to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Completes preventative maintenance, including as needed physical walk throughs of all areas/sites for potential problems.
- Acts as company liaison for external inspection companies, such as fire department, alarm provider and insurance carriers.
- In the event of accidents, spills, etc., provides necessary clean up.
- Removes or relocates large and/or heavy items, such as furniture and storage boxes.
- Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, ramps and lifts.
- Maintains adequate stock levels within budget.
- Completes regular and seasonal grounds keeping of all property, irrigation systems, snow removal, salting of sidewalks, etc.
- Maintains all equipment, tools, and apparatus are in good working order.
- As directed, places calls to vendors for repairs, monitors progress, and assists outside professionals as needed.
- Completes assigned maintenance functions in accordance with established policies and procedures and ADA and OSHA regulations.
- Reports any potential safety hazards to the VP Director of Corporate Services.
- Assists in emergency situations, as necessary.
- Must be available on-call or willing to change hourly schedule when circumstances deem necessary.
- Perform other similar duties as required or requested.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Any Maintenance Certificates in areas of HVAC, electrical or plumbing would be beneficial.
- Ability to utilize power tools and equipment properly with a high degree of safety.
- Understands proper technique in lifting and moving large/heavy objects safely.
- Ability to analyze problems and evaluate data and situations effectively.
- Demonstrates appropriate discretion in making decisions, respecting confidentiality, and understands the extent of his/her authority.
- Identifies problems, secures relevant information, and relates data from different sources to determine possible cause of problems.
