Overview:
Kings Dominion has an opening in its Rides Maintenance Division for Electrical Supervisor. The Electrical Supervisor oversees and participates in the inspection, maintenance and repair of electrical systems on all park rides. This Full Time position will report to the Rides Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains, modifies and performs upgrades to ride control systems, monitoring systems and park lighting fixtures as necessary. Makes recommendations based on operational needs and manufacturer requirements.
- Oversees and participates in the installation, maintenance and repair of all Park's electrical systems (to include ride device, building and site electrical infrastructure). Troubleshoots electrical problems and makes recommendations for repair. Research, order and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment necessary to ensure proper operation of ride systems. Participates in the Maintenance OD Program during park operating season.
- Adjusts the daily work assignments of staff to account for equipment availability, project delivery timelines and staff abilities.
- Coordinates with suppliers, contractors and other vendors regarding repair work ensuring compliance with work deadlines and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines and procedures.
- Ensures budgeting guidelines are met; prioritizes expenditures to stay within budget and assist with preparation of annual labor and P&L budgets.
- Manages direct reports' performance issues, addresses disciplinary situations, and provides input into selection, promotion, demotion, and termination decisions. Conducts performance appraisals on an annual basis with each direct report.
- Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
- Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Six to nine years of experience in electrical maintenance, controls, power distribution and automation, some of which has been in a supervisory capacity
- Electrical field experience in controls including PLC's, AC/DC drives, proximity switches, etc.; Allen Bradley experience helpful
- Experience with three phase medium voltage power systems up to 13,000
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics and ladder logic
- Must have computer experience, Microsoft Office preferred
- Must have good written and verbal skills
- A Journey or Master Electrician License is helpful
- Ability to climb to heights of 350 feet
- Driver's License
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
