Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Description Template
ABA Therapy Partners is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy
Accept and implement feedback provided by BCBA for program integrity
Teach socially acceptable replacement behaviors;
Provide 1:1 ABA therapy for children with Autism and related disorders
Communicate client progress with supervising BCBA
As applicable, provide transportation related to the implementation of activities as directed by the treatment plan
Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior support plan
Implement behavior therapy techniques as instructed by the Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist.
Review data and progress reports with Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist to strategize program improvements
Document interventions and progress towards goals accurately and in a timely manner
Assists in the creation of instructional materials
Openly flexible and responsible in working with multiple children at one time, when necessary
Attends a variety of in-service training sessions and other related meetings
Desire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities
Clear Criminal Background.
Requirements:
Must have experience with aggressive and self-injurious behaviors
Must be a Certified Behavior Technician by or have registered to take the RBT exam
Must be a U. S. citizen, legal/permanent resident, or have a valid employment authorization
Must be certified in OSHA, HIV, HIPAA, CPR, and First Aid, or be willing to get them
HS diploma required
One year experience working with children with developmental/ intellectual disabilities preferred
Must be a team player
CPR/BLS certified (or willing to obtain prior to hiring)
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with Autism or related disorders preferred
Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
Current TB clearance
Outstanding interpersonal skills and high attention to detail
Desire to work for / with children with autism and other developmental disabilities
Clear Criminal Background.
