Nuclear Medicine Technologist Nuclear Medicine
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will:
- Under the direction of a qualified physician, administers radioactive materials and operates nuclear medicine equipment in order to perform imaging, laboratory and dynamic function studies necessary to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of illnesses.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
Requirements: • Possesses NJ State license in nuclear medicine.
• Possesses a working knowledge of scintillation cameras and related computers.
• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with other departments within the Hospital, attending physicians and other hospitals.
• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with extremely ill and/or irritable patients.
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
