This individual will set-up and operate a wide range of equipment used in the fabrication, stamping, production, and assembly of desired components and assemblies in one or more departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
- Department(s) will include equipment that will allow for the complete manufacture of components and assemblies into finished product.
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and run to the high levels of efficiency and quality stipulated maintaining tolerances and work specifications.
- Able to measure all quality parameters of desired components and assemblies and determine corrective action where appropriate to the processes concerned.
- Able to perform all inventory-related and transactions and has the ability to move all materials, (raw material, work in process, finished goods) to ensure continuous operations.
- Assists, trains and develops new operators.
- Work from work instructions and production schedules. Select proper tooling, equipment, and material for the job.
- Make any necessary adjustments to equipment, tooling, programs, and process to provide an efficient and quality operation.
- Verify that work conforms to specifications by utilizing gages, scales, micrometres, or other measuring instruments required to accurately check work.
- Follow all IATF and ISO procedures, processes, and work instructions.
- Operation of the machines/equipment associated with all aspects of positions functions.
- Ensure that all processes operated are maintained under control and that prompt corrective action is taken to prevent the process drifting from required operating parameters.
- Maintain assigned work area(s) and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Adhere to company housekeeping schedules and PM schedules.
Requirements:
- Education or experience equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft, or occupation; or equivalent to a 2-year technical college education or equivalent years of experience demonstrating advance setup and operations skills.
