Position Summary:The Office-Based Therapist at Anthony's Villa Inc. is responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to clients in a clinical setting. This role involves conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the overall well-being of clients. The therapist ensures that clients' emotional, social, and psychological needs are met through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Care and Therapy:
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on thorough assessments.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients' emotional and psychological well-being.
- Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Assessment and Documentation:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and identify treatment needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and organizational standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to provide integrated care.
- Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss clients' progress and coordinate care.
- Communicate effectively with clients' families and support networks to involve them in the therapeutic process.
Compliance and Professional Development:
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards as outlined by relevant licensing boards and organizational policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
- Maintain licensure and certifications required for the position.
Support and Crisis Intervention:
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress.
- Develop and implement safety plans for clients at risk of harm to themselves or others.
- Offer emotional support and guidance to clients during difficult times.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving therapeutic services and client outcomes.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to senior management on ways to enhance the quality of care.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in mental health therapy.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Active licensure as an LSW, LPC, LMFT, or higher in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting providing therapeutic services.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and techniques.
- Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in mental health care.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Work is primarily performed in an office setting, with occasional travel to various locations for meetings and training. May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
