Reports to: Site Supervisor
Shifts: Monday- Friday, Tuesday-Saturday
Starting pay: $18.00 per hour

Non-Emergency Stretcher Driver Job Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from medical facilities and their residences using a non-emergency stretcher vehicle.
- Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring the use of proper lifting techniques and patient handling protocols to prevent injuries.
- Secure patients onto the stretcher and in the vehicle according to safety standards and company policies.
- Monitor patient condition throughout transport and report any changes or emergencies to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Maintain communication with dispatch to provide updates on patient pick-up and drop-off statuses.
- Complete and submit accurate transport documentation, including patient care records and service logs.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance issues and ensure the vehicle is in proper working order.
- Comply with all traffic laws, healthcare regulations, and company policies during patient transport.
- Always provide compassionate care and respect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Attend ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in patient care and transport safety.
Requirements:
- Drivers must successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Drivers must possess a valid driver's license endorsed with "for hire" (class E or higher in Missouri, class "D" or better in Illinois)
- During employment with EMT, drivers must maintain a clear MVR.
- Drivers must not have a driver's license suspension or revocation for moving traffic violations within the previous three years.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to assist passengers in transferring from seated to seated or lying to seated positions safely.
