We are seeking a tech-savvy and detail-oriented Utility Mapping Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will utilize GNSS receivers and RTK correction services to collect accurate reference points. This role focuses on ensuring the precise collection of geospatial data using our proprietary application. The Surveying Technician will play a key role in training team members on the effective use of our locator app for efficient and accurate path correction.All of our technicians are provided with:

Responsibilities:
- Use GNSS receivers and RTK correction services to collect precise reference points.
- Utilize our proprietary app to collect and log data accurately.
- Conduct field surveys to gather data on land features and boundaries.
- Train team members on the effective use of our locator app to collect paths efficiently and accurately.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical training sessions in the field.
- Ensure team members understand best practices for data collection and equipment usage.
- Ensure the collected data meets accuracy standards and project requirements.
- Validate and cross-check data to ensure consistency and precision.
- Assist in refining and correcting located paths using collected reference points.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Communicate findings and updates to the project manager and other stakeholders.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all surveying activities.
- Stay updated with advancements in GNSS technology and surveying practices.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate degree or technical diploma in surveying, geomatics, geospatial technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in land surveying, geospatial data collection, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in using GNSS receivers and RTK correction services.
- Familiarity with geospatial data collection applications.
- Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and use new software and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have valid driver's license
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting and carrying equipment.
