We are currently seeking a Packaging Engineering Consultant to join our team in a hybrid role located in Minneapolis, Minnesota (US-MN), United States (US).

As a Packaging Engineering Consultant you will help provide packaging engineering services to help clients develop and execute strategic and tactical packaging improvements that deliver supply chain cost reductions, customer experience improvements and sustainability programs.

Why the Role Is Important:
NTT Data's Packaging Optimization team provides packaging engineering and consulting services to help its clients develop and execute strategic and tactical packaging improvements that deliver supply chain cost reductions, customer experience improvements and sustainability enhancements.
Once You Are Here, You Will:
• Perform packaging design and concept development utilizing a wide variety of packaging materials and substrates, using 2D ArtiosCad or 3D SolidWorks modeling software
• Develop packaging prototypes and perform distribution testing activities to ISTA, ASTM, ISO or customized test protocols
• Conduct or assist in various packaging line trials, testing or handling simulations at client sites
• Present your packaging recommendations and findings via Powerpoint or other formats to client leadership for acceptance and approval
• Assist in conducting voice-of-customer interviews with various stakeholders and document packaging requirements, supply chain flows and hazards
• Participate in collaborative team brainstorm and ideation sessions
• Assist in the development of packaging total cost models and savings analysis
• Effectively engage and communicate with clients at all levels of the organization during the delivery process to earn their confidence and trust
• Maintain effective real-time and written interaction with clients
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships
Required Qualifications:
• Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Packaging Engineering or packaging related science
• 4+ months of packaging related science internship, co-op and/or full time experience.
• 1+ years of experience working within Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willing and able to travel 30-50% based on project requirements and/or client demand
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with packaging design and development software programs including ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, Cape, TOPS, BestLoad
• Experience running Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) on packaging materials
• Knowledge of packaging development processes, prototyping and packaging testing, packaging specifications and guidelines, packaging and its influence on logistics and supply chain
• Exposure to Six Sigma methodologies and lean manufacturing principles
• Experience delivering results as a part of a project team (focus on packaging is preferred)

Must reside in the US, in the Minneapolis, MN area.
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $60,000.00-$75,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
