Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM) is a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, PA providing human services to the community including early childhood education, foster care & adoption, child welfare, mental & behavioral health, community and economic development, housing, violence intervention, and services to community schools. APM has been servicing the North Philadelphia community since 1970.
Salary: $55k plus benefits

Reports to: Director of Facilities & Property Management
Work Hours: Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 5 pm
Fleet: 35-40 cars and vans used by social workers
To supervise: Four (4) Drivers/Transport Coordinators

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Fleet Manager is responsible for the efficient management and maintenance of APM's fleet service of cars and vans used by our staff. The Fleet Manager will comply with the established policies and procedures and will not take action contrary to such guidelines without prior approval from the Director. The Fleet Manager duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Establish, implement, and communicate the goals of the department including developing SOPs to improve and streamline operations to achieve targeted goals.
- Ensure Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory compliance that adheres to local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the fuel card provider to negotiate discounts, develop analyses to maximize savings and compliance to policy, and ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are satisfied.
- Evaluate, identify and implement cost and service improvements with fleet related suppliers.
- Develop and manage fuel programs, daily activities and projects, aligned with recently implemented fuel initiatives focused on maximizing the use of discounted merchants, reducing non-fuel spend, and other related projects in support of the company fuel policy.
- Ensure that vehicle usage is maximized; vehicles are rotated in and out of service for maintenance and cleaning.
- Ensure control over key storage system and staff usage/access.
- Perform minor vehicle repairs, such as flat tire.
- Organize and schedule daily interoffice and supply deliveries to various APM locations.
- Create and manage day-to-day fleet processes with the Fleet Team to resolve issues. May include working directly with the primary external vendors chosen to support those activities.
- Maintain performance management and time keeping of Drivers.
- Organize and manage transportation of leadership to various locations across the City, as necessary.
- Coordinating drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules.
- Searching for, hiring and training new drivers.
- Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress.
- Provide support on month-end close activities, including SOX controls, fuel reporting, budget vs. actual spend analysis and reconciliation.

Requirements:
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred
- Experience/Training: Minimum 5 years of industry experience including responsibility for end-to-end fleet operations and DOT regulatory compliance programs
- Technology/Equipment: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivation and training
- Expert knowledge of best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and management skills
- Ability to effectively manage third-party vendor relationships
- Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
