Description:
We are currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift Welder / Fitter for plate and structural fabrication work.
- Basic knowledge of fitting plate, structural material and pipe utilizing shop drawings, specifications and travelers
- Use torches to cut/cope beams, cut/bevel plates and heat straighten parts
- Knowledge of fitting and welding various materials; carbon steel, stainless steel, inconel and aluminum
- Welding processes may include; Flux-cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Metal-cored Arc Welding (MCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and Submerged Arc Weld (SAW)
- Perform welding in the flat, horizontal and vertical positions
- Produce consistent welds in accordance with shop drawings and customer specifications
- Follow welding procedure specifications (WPS) to set up welding machines and check weld sizes with company-issued weld gages
- Run overhead cranes and forklifts when necessary to move parts throughout the shop

Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings
- Ability to pass various types of weld tests
- Ability to understand standard welding symbols
- Basic math skills
- 1 - 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Crane experience
- Forklift experience
- Trade certification or equivalent experience
Compensation details: 19-23 Hourly Wage
