Overview:
The Procurement Analyst will provide a data analytics capability used to gain spend visibility, build internal demand profiles, and conduct spend analysis across a variety of Direct Material and Indirect categories. Procurement analysts will be generalists supporting category execution teams and ad-hoc Procurement analysis needs.
Responsibilities:
- Compile and maintain company spend cube: collection of procurement data, identification and classification of suppliers, identification and classification of items/SKUs, compilation of location- and function-specific spend.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative spend analytics using MS Excel and/or other analytical tools: categorization, profiling demand, trend analysis, data mining for opportunities, measurement and tracking of results.
- Support category strategic sourcing events: development of RFx documents, pricing and bid sheets, supplier proposal response analysis. As proficiency of business needs, will provide recommendations on solutions to include identifying potential savings opportunities.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested.
- Support/advocate departmental obligations to procurement policies & procedures, financial measurement & tracking of benefits, compliance monitoring, and management report-outs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Math, Computer Science, STEM, Accounting, Business.
- 0-2 years related experience.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in data modeling, and MS Excel to include vlookup and pivot tables.
- Strong quantitative aptitude, problem solving, critical reasoning.
- Prefer experience in supply chain/data analysis analyzing large volumes of data.
