THE ORGANIZATION
The Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center (SRFJC) is a warm and welcoming one-stop center for victims of interpersonal violence (IPV) - domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. The Center serves victims and survivors regardless of their income or immigration status. We meet survivors where they are and help them through the process of healing and self-empowerment. POSITION SUMMARY : We are accepting applications for one full-time attorney (bilingual Spanish preferred) with a strong commitment to public interest and serving victims of interpersonal violence. This attorney will:
Provide assistance with Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse Restraining Order petitions
Represent clients in domestic violence and elder abuse restraining order hearings and family law proceedings.
Assist with grant reporting and work collaboratively with case managers and other staff.
QUALIFICATIONS :
JD and current, active membership with the California State Bar.
Experience in family law or other legal field relevant to our client population.
Satisfactory results from DOJ background check including clean driving record.
Bilingual (Spanish) is strongly preferred.
