Summary
This position serves as a member of the tax team. The ideal candidate is able to advise clients on their taxes, and will be responsible for preparation of personal, non-profit, partnership, and corporate tax returns. Candidates will also have the responsible to review financial statements.
Responsibilities
Prepare corporate and/or individual client returns, adhering to quality standards of the firm
Review financial statements for corporate returns
Maintain communications with clients to develop longstanding business relationships, manage expectations, and ensure deadlines are met
Prepare individual and corporate tax returns, review necessary paperwork for tax returns, and arrange for tax payments
Organize tax planning and calculate estimated payments
Recommend tax strategies that align with personal and business goals
Identify tax savings and recommend strategies to increase profit
Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes
Participate in various job duties/responsibilities as directed by tax manager and director
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Mathematics or related field
Minimum 2 years tax preparation or accounting experience at a public accounting firm
Bilingual Chinese language proficiency highly preferred
Experience with accounting software such as Accounting CS
Experience with tax preparation software UltraTax CS preferred
Proficient with IT and Microsoft Office Suites
Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States
