Center of Excellence Coordinator RN - Stroke Program
Full time 40 hours weekly working at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ
What you'll do:
Act as a healthcare Superhero - Overseeing the daily operations and accreditation of the COE Stroke program.

What you'll do:
Ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Coordinates and leads all activities for Service Line program using an interdisciplinary approach. Responsibility for the operational and quality outcomes of service line for the defined population.
Assesses and monitors the continuity of care for the defined patient population. Coordination of daily rounds and multi-disciplinary rounds. Expedites and coordinates the delivery of services to facilitate a patient's progress through the continuum of care, from point of first contact, through the hospitalization period and post discharge to achieve desired outcomes.
Assists in the development of patient care protocols and in updating patient care procedures for Service Line patients based on current literature/trends and evidence-based practice. Acts as a Physician liaison.
Data entry, retrieval, and reporting; Input data into computer programs; interviews others; research information. May perform other administrative functions as necessary.
Reports to the Quality Manager / Director.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: Required: Associates or Diploma in nursing program Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing
Experience: Three (3) years experience in clinical setting specific to defined patient population strongly preferred.
Experience with program development, third party payers and marketing preferred.
Skills:
Ability to compile statistics; strong computer literacy,; strong analytical and organizational skills; and team facilitation and meeting skills.
Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills. Prior computer software experience including word, excel, and graphics.
Spanish speaking preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS
Preferred: NIHSS clinical specialty certification ( National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification ) can be completed after hire
