Location: 6720 Placid Street, Las Vegas, NV 89119
Schedule: This role is per diem, no set schedule, will be working as needed only. Will be covering different departments at the site when needed. (Site hours are: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am - 8:00 pm PST; Weekends, 8:00 am - 7:00 pm PST)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Enter prescriptions and verifying appropriate information
- Contacting patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues
- Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
- Resolve customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
- Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record
- Fulfillment of prescription orders
- Ability to interpret prescription orders and enter into pharmacy system
- Answering the telephone utilizing appropriate etiquette
- Documenting interventions and tracking outcomes with Pharmacy team
- Resolving customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Nevada
- 6+ months of experience with insurance claims processing, rejection, and resolution
- 6+ months of experience with knowledge of laws and regulations in regards to scope of practice
- Intermediate level of proficiency with computers using Windows PC applications, and the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to work per diem / as needed only (shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Experience with various insurances, pre-approval & authorizations process, and rejections
- Sterile compounding experience
Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
