Plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures an services for a unit. Maintains nursing staff by assisting director with recruiting, selecting, orienting and training clinical staff. Responsible for ensuring completion of administrative reporting activities. Ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning and evaluating patients. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of administrative, leadership and nursing tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. RN degree required. 5 years of nursing experience and 2 years of leadership experience required.
