Central Conveyor Company (a member of the Tsubaki Group) is a turn-key Systems Integrator with a complete portfolio of conveyance solutions and products for the Automotive, Parcel & Logistics, and Warehouse & Distribution markets.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for accounting and finance functions to ensure financial health of the business and compliance with corporate, state and federal oversight functions. The role is primarily responsible for customer side finance, billing, credit and analytics and is a team player and supports the finance and accounting functions as necessary in multiple ways.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
- Process all vendor invoices in a timely manner.
- Research purchase orders and coding issues and follow up through resolution.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Create and file voucher packets.
- Process check runs and manual checks.
- Performs monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for the corporate function and the local operating division.
- Responsible for customer set-up to support AR.
- Assists with preparing timely analyses (ad hoc and otherwise) in support of management decision making.
- Assists with internal control documentation.
- Supports the annual budget process.
- Supports the project team regarding review of insurance documents, lien waivers, etc.
- Prepares year-end schedules for auditors and tax preparers.
- Other tasks/functions as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university
- Two to four years of related experience preferred; however, the position is open to new college graduates. Public accounting external audit experience with a manufacturing focus is a plus but not required.
- Experience with a major ERP system is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a plus
- Works independently and can multi-task and prioritize work based on deadlines.
