The Comcast Marketing Technology engineering team is responsible for developing, integrating and operating the capabilities marketing uses to engage in Direct Mail, Email, SMS and many other critical channels. Developers will participate in design, planning, development, release, monitoring and overall delivery of our web, mobile and application deliverables.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Martech Software Engineer with expertise in marketing technology platforms (CRM or CDP) such as Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) or similar (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics, etc), coupled with strong skills in building custom solutions on AWS, proficiency in API development using languages like Python or Java, and some experience in data engineering. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing martech solutions to drive marketing effectiveness and customer engagement.
The Senior developer will be challenged to build new features and experiences that support millions of business & customer interactions each day while meeting the highest standards of availability, stability and performance. Responsibilities:
Martech Platform Expertise:
- Lead the implementation and customization of martech platforms such as Adobe AEP or similar CRM or CDP platform to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Configure and integrate platform components to enable seamless data collection, segmentation, personalization, and campaign orchestration.
Custom Solution Development:
- Architect, develop, and deploy custom solutions on AWS to extend the capabilities of martech platforms and address specific business requirements.
- Utilize Python and other relevant programming languages to build robust APIs, microservices, and integrations for seamless data exchange and automation.
Data Engineering:
- Apply data engineering principles to design and optimize data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and analyzing marketing data.
- Implement data governance, quality checks, and monitoring to ensure the integrity and reliability of marketing data.
AWS Infrastructure and Services:
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
Technical Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, analytics, and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Work closely with platform vendors, technical support teams, and external partners to troubleshoot issues and optimize platform performance.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in martech, API development, cloud computing, and data engineering to drive innovation and improve martech capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes, streamline workflows, and enhance marketing effectiveness through technology solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on marketing technology platforms such as Adobe AEP or similar.
Proficiency in building and deploying custom solutions on AWS, with experience in cloud services, infrastructure as code, and serverless computing.
Strong programming skills in an object oriented language (such as Python or Java) and experience developing APIs and microservices.
Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools such as data pipelines, ETL processes, SQL, and big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary:
Pay Range: This job can be performed in California, and Colorado with a Pay Range of $126,926.81 - $226,655.01
