People First is looking for a Consumer Loan Processor to join our team! The Consumer Loan Processor assists members with their consumer loan requests, providing clerical and administrative support needed to process and close member loans. This individual will be part of our Consumer Lending team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers an exceptional member experience by actively listening to our member's needs through various communication channels. Uncovers financial solutions through conversations and recommends credit union products and services that support the member's financial goals. Maintains current knowledge of all credit union services, policies, and promotions.
- Assists members with their loan applications and prepares them for review by a Loan Officer. Follows up with the Loan Officer to determine status.
- Processes approved loans and sets up loan closing appointments for in-office closing or conducts electronic closings for members and makes required disbursements.
- Work with partner dealerships to process auto loans on behalf of members.
- Validates and electronically files executed loan documents in appropriate systems.
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday 8:45 am - 5:30 pm
- Friday 9:15 am - 6:00 pm OR 8:45 am - 5:30 pm

- Consumer Lending, especially auto loans, experience highly preferred
- High School diploma or GED
- First-level conflict resolution and relationship-building skills.
- Good listening and communication skills

Compensation details: 23.69-25.19 Hourly Wage
