We are looking for an associate attorney to join our team, with either the backgrown and experience to stand out or the excitement to learn and room to grow. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents, preparing reports, conducting research, communicating with Courts, prosecutors, and clients; and will have the opportunity to work on cases solo (with minimal oversight), and to travel around the country representign clients. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Travel 2-4 days/week nationally to attend hearings
- Maintain client relationships and provide excellent customer service
- Attend meetings, and hearings as required
Experience:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in at least one state and in one federal district
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in negotiating and litigating cases is preferred but not required
