Position Summary:The In-Home Therapist provides community-based mental health services to clients within their homes. The therapist will utilize evidence-based practices to offer individual, family, and group therapy sessions, aiming to support and improve the mental and emotional well-being of clients. The therapist will collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients based on their specific needs and goals.
- Provide in-home therapy sessions, including individual, family, and group counseling.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to address a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics.
- Monitor and document client progress, maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and provide holistic support.
- Participate in regular supervision, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to ensure best practices and compliance with licensing requirements.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available community resources.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines as set forth by relevant licensing boards and the organization.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Must hold a current and valid license as a Social Worker (LSW, LISW, or LISW-S), Professional Counselor (LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, LIMFT, or LIMFT-S), or Psychologist (PSY).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in community counseling is preferred.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic practices and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate clinical records.
- Familiarity with community resources and the ability to collaborate effectively with other service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations with calmness and professionalism.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in the field of mental health.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The role requires traveling to clients' homes, which may involve driving in various weather conditions.
- The therapist must be able to sit, stand, and move within clients' homes as necessary to conduct sessions.
- The position may require occasional lifting of light objects, such as therapy materials or equipment.
- The work environment is primarily in clients' homes, which may vary in terms of comfort and accessibility.
Compensation details: 60000-70000 Yearly Salary
