Purpose Statement This position supports the vision and goals of Fireside Hearth & Home by establishing new builder accounts and servicing existing builder accounts in the assigned market. This position maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction through customer service, professionalism, personal integrity and focusing on being a Hearth Expert who is "Easy To Do Business With ."

- Establishes and prioritizes lead list through permit data, jobsite visits and referrals; contacts the decision makes of the lead list by cold calling, sending emails, post cards or letters to schedule an appointment to discuss revenue generating opportunities
- Creates and maintains a strategic marketing plan for assigned territory and/or accounts
- Creates a lead file for current leads including current hearth products offered, decision makers/owners, subdivisions and another other information that would help in turning the lead into a customers
- Creates a builder file including builder contact sheet, quotes, job requirements, selection sheets, pay schedules, directions and any other important information on the builder account and keeps the file current with contact (names, phone numbers, email addresses) information
- Maintains current builder customer accounts by visits to the job sites and offices on a regular basis to continue to build relationships with all levels of the organizations, to provide product modifications, changes and enhancements and to determine other opportunities
- Provides current builder customers with up-to-date information on pricing, service and latest product release launches
- Plans, creates and schedules sales presentations and product demonstrations for current builder/homeowner customers and potential builder/homeowner customers
- Performs initial site requirements from building plans and makes appropriate product recommendations to the builder/homeowner customer
- Works cross functionally with operations team to provide information on required materials, selections, labor and installations requirements to complete the job
- Creates quotes in iQuote/Commerce Center with all the required materials, selections and labor and presents quotes to builder/homeowner customers explaining lead times and installation requirements
- Stays up-to-date on all product offerings, new processes and procedures, new services and new tools by completing on-line training (), attending sales/branch/regional meetings and hands-on training sessions
- Provides sales training to builders' sales staff on product offerings and product options
- Attends sales meetings and provides regular updates on progress on leads, market penetration, margin improvement and other sales information to the Regional Sales Manager
- Previews (along with the Branch DFOS) all cash sales before quoting the customer a price to insure the right product/materials and piping run is quoted
- All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications Skills and Abilities - Must have effective territory and account management skills including the ability to cold call prospective accounts
- Must have the ability to think and strategize long term while meeting short-term goals and objectives
- Must be self-motivated, demonstrate a passion for success and work well in stressful situations
- High level of business ethics and personal integrity
- Excellent computer skills (Windows, Outlook and Microsoft Office - Word & Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation skills
- Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task effectively and follow up on tasks/issues until completed/resolved
- Ability to adapt to continuous improvement driven change with a positive attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and members at all levels of the organization and work as part of a team
- Ability to establish and maintain long-term business relationships
Education and Experience - A Bachelors Degree in a sales or marketing field and 3 - 5 years of successful sales experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 - 2 years experience in training others on features and benefits of products
Preferred Qualifications - 3 - 4 years experience in the hearth or construction industry
