Sonographer We are looking for a Sonographer to join our growing team. This is a PRN position with no guarantee of hours and no benefits.
Positions is working Monday to Friday variable days and shift lengths.
Position Summary:
Cardiac & Vascular Consultants of Northern MI (CVCNM) operates a network of highly specialized outpatient endovascular care facilities. All CVCNM employees are members of the same team, regardless of their primary work location. The Sonographer is a key member of the cardiovascular practice who helps provide an atmosphere of compassionate and quality care to patients and their families. The Sonographers role is to provide high quality diagnostic images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. Professionally collaborates with the CVCNM medical and office team members to provide the patient with a positive experience. Adheres to all policies related to PHI and HIPAA privacy practices.

Qualifications:
- Highest level of education required: Associates Degree
- One year of experience in diagnostic ultrasound imaging: Preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR): Within 90 days of hire
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): Within 180 days of hire
- ARDMS or CCI registered in Vascular sonography Echo/Vascular: Preferred
- Detail oriented, thorough and exact
Specific Duties:
- Performs ultrasound examinations of the heart and peripheral vascular system in accordance with CVCNM protocols
- Prepare patients for exam by explaining procedure, assisting, if necessary, in transferring patient to ultrasound table, and positioning patient properly
- Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information, verify accuracy of diagnostic order(s)
- Document ultrasound findings and communicate them to medical staff in accordance with protocols
- Ensures ultrasound equipment is clean, maintained, and in good working order
- Manage supplies and stock room as needed
- Maintain a clean and orderly exam/procedure rooms, common areas and workspace
- Adheres to applicable professional and ethical standards
- Provide compassionate, professional patient care and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Provide continuity of care while communicating in a professional manner with all team members
- Other duties as assigned by leadership and supervisory staff
