We are seeking a Fabrication Technician to work on semi-automated, automated and non-automated state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment for the assembly of HVACR components and subassemblies. Our team is searching for an individual who is an independent problem-solver, willing to take ownership of the line and QA, and is proactive to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment. YOU WILL:
Start-up, run, and shut-down continuous production equipment, automated robotic assembly equipment, semi-automated testing equipment, and hand tools in manual assembly steps.
Update automated equipment settings through control screen.
Operate equipment with focus on quality, material waste reduction, time efficiency, and accurate documentation.
Perform material handling of raw material inputs, and finished product with attention to detail and quality.
Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment.
Identify and document new preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment, solving material handling problems, solving scheduling problems, and supporting other teammates.
Demonstrate the ability and willingness to cross train on multiple machines and/or other functional areas including ERV assembly cells and related Fabrication cells.
Collaborate with, support, and suggest opportunities to engineers to reduce cycle time, reduce material waste, and increase quality.
Demonstrate skills to setup equipment, change tooling and perform small preventive maintenance.
Read and interpret blueprints and follow fabrication cell instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation regarding equipment setpoint adjustments, raw material changeovers, and assembled component test results
Adhere to all Fabrication Team and RenewAire policies such as but not limited to clocking errors, non-conformance procedures, raw material handling procedures, operator-level preventative maintenance procedures, machine and work logs, operator preventative maintenance etc.
Assist with creation and update of cell process and procedure documentation
Collaborate to support new product development
Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Requires 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
Experience with hot melt and web handling is a plus
Requires ability to identify root cause for line defects and quality issues
Requires ability to independently troubleshoot continuously operating machinery to
identify and correct line problems
Requires ability to load, maintain, and manage raw material input into machinery to ensure
continuous operation of line
Requires ability to consistently operate semi-automated testing equipment
Preferred previous experience with automated or semi-automated equipment
Requires basic computer skills
Must have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing instructions
Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and to read measurements in inches and feet
