We are looking for energetic, magnetic, caring, and health-oriented people to join our team! We have an immediate need for both an entry-level children's martial arts coach as well as an experienced lead martial arts instructor. The exact duties and shifts will depend on the candidate's skills and experience.
Children's Coach:
- We are looking for someone with at least some previous martial arts experience, but we are willing to train someone with an exceptional personality, physical skills, and coachability.
- This position starts with a training wage of $18.00 per hour. Post-training wage will depend on performance and abilities.
- We are looking to fill shifts on Tuesday/Thursday from 4:00 to 7:15 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The right person may be able to train for more opportunities and/or opportunities.
- Successful candidates must have an enthusiastic and positive personality, appear confident when leading others, work well under pressure, and have excellent people skills (especially with children). We are looking for someone with some martial arts experience, but we are willing to train someone with an exceptional personality, physical skills, and coachability.
- Candidates with potential and the desire to teach more will be offered additional free training that will allow them to move up to assistant instructor and then instructor.
- Typical Duties:
* Assist trial members and new students with understanding beginner skills.
* Lead the class through simple warmups, stretches, and fitness drills.
* Provide other assistance (e.g., hold pads, supervise lines, manage equipment, etc.).
* Take attendance and document promotions.
Teen/Adult Martial Arts Instructor:
We are looking for an experienced martial arts instructor to lead a small beginner class on Thursday evenings from 7:15 - 8:15 pm. A qualified candidate must be able to demonstrate and teach basic kickboxing and martial arts techniques and concepts. We will provide instruction on our beginner Kung Fu curriculum. The position starts with a training wage of $20.00 per hour. Post-training compensation will depend on the candidate's ability to learn our curriculum and lead the class. Because of the nature of the position, future compensation and incentives will be discussed at the interview.The right person may be able to train for more opportunities.
