Job Summary
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for executing the procurement process, developing supplier sourcing strategies, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for turnkey electronic components and metal(s).
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, develop and negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure the best pricing, quality, and lead time.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand component requirements to execute customer needs.
- Manage the procurement process, including the execution of purchase orders, inventory control, and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry policies or regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
- Analyze and report on procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, with experience in electronic components.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent understanding of electronics components and the relevant supply chain.
- Proficiency in ERP and procurement tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASCM/APICS Certified CPIM or CSCP
- ISM CPSM or CPSD
- Experience with global sourcing and international procurement.
- Knowledge of Electrical and Metal Industry standards and regulations (e.g. ROHS, REACH, MTR).
