POSITION SUMMARY
The Supervisor, Youth Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and activities of the Youth Services Workers at Anthony's Villa Group Home. This position ensures the provision of high-quality care and support services to children and adolescents, assists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, and maintains a therapeutic environment. The Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to the Youth Services Workers to promote the overall well-being and progress of clients.
Hours and Schedule
- This position consists of 12 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week.
- The hours for this role are 6am-6pm.
- The schedule includes rotating weekends (every other weekend).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise and provide leadership to the Youth Services Workers, ensuring they adhere to agency policies, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate and monitor the daily activities and schedules of clients and Youth Services Workers to ensure smooth operation and effective service delivery.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for clients, including documenting progress, and communicating with treatment team members.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment in the Group Home by utilizing positive behavior management techniques, providing consistent and clear expectations, and promoting a sense of community among clients.
- Provide direct care to clients as needed, including supervising daily activities, ensuring safety and security, and assisting with personal hygiene and self-care tasks.
- Provide transportation for clients to appointments and activities as needed.
- Lead and participate in therapeutic groups and recreational activities for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations for Youth Services Workers.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the Program Director and other staff members to enhance service quality and address client needs.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain a therapeutic environment and manage challenging behaviors.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR/First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to travel to various locations in the community.
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting, with frequent travel to client homes and community locations.
- May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Compensation details: 19-21 Hourly Wage
