**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Road Construction Software and Technology Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining advanced construction technology systems, including Trimble systems for intelligent compaction and thermal bar, as well as systems for e-ticketing and equipment tracking for asphalt delivery. Additional responsibilities include flying drones to survey pits and project sites, using Propeller survey software to calculate aggregate quantities, safety administration, and various computer-based tasks.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Trimble System Setup and Maintenance:**
- Install, configure, and maintain Trimble systems for intelligent compaction and thermal bar.
- Ensure accurate calibration and functionality of all equipment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system issues.
2. **E-Ticketing and Equipment Tracking:**
- Set up and manage e-ticketing systems for asphalt delivery.
- Track equipment and material delivery using advanced tracking technologies.
- Monitor and report on delivery schedules and material usage.
3. **Drone Operations and Surveying:**
- Operate drones to survey pits and project sites.
- Collect and analyze aerial data to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.
- Use Propeller survey software to calculate aggregate quantities in pits and project locations.
4. **Safety Administration:**
- Implement and oversee safety protocols on construction sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
5. **Computer Work:**
- Perform various computer-based tasks, including data entry, report generation, and documentation.
- Use construction management software to track project progress and communicate with team members.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities and system configurations.
6. **General Duties:**
- Assist with general construction activities as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project goals are met.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
**Qualifications:**
- Associate's degree or technical certification in construction technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Trimble systems for intelligent compaction and thermal bar.
- Familiarity with e-ticketing and equipment tracking technologies.
- Experience with drone operations and aerial surveying.
- Proficiency in using Propeller survey software for calculating aggregate quantities.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and regulations.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
