Responsibilities:
- General Accounting Duties:
- You'll handle various accounting tasks, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, and managing accounts.
- These duties form the foundation of accurate financial record-keeping.
- Financial Reporting:
- You'll prepare periodic balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- These reports provide insights into the organization's financial health, seeing transactions from start to finish
- Accounts Payable:
- You'll code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconciling bank accounts, verifying deposits, and addressing inquiries from banks are essential tasks.
- Accuracy in bank transactions is crucial for financial integrity.
- Assisting Auditors:
- Providing assistance to external auditors during audits ensures compliance and transparency.
- Your cooperation helps maintain the organization's financial credibility.
- Excellent Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with Practice Administrators with their day to day operations and external auditors
- Software Coordination:
- Coordinating with software vendors to maintain the accounting software system is important.
- Recommending updates enhances efficiency and accuracy.
- Overall Contribution:
- Your role extends beyond these specific duties, as you'll adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- One year of accounting experience required.
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Highly proficient with accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, NetSuite, or similar software.
