Position: Social Media Manager and Content Creator

Schedule: This is a full-time, hybrid position, 5 days a week. Candidates must be based out of Chicago and plan to be in office 3 days a week
Role Purpose and Summary: The Ving Project/LFF seeks a Social Media Manager and Content Creator to execute the social media marketing and content creation across several initiatives.
Work responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing Accounts: Take ownership of our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube) and content platforms (website, email marketing) to maintain a consistent and engaging brand identity.
- Editing & Creating Content: Generate and edit compelling photos, videos, reels, graphics, and written materials that resonate with our brand & ethos. Must possess familiarity with content scheduling.
- Tracking: Analyzing analytics to monitor performance metrics, providing actionable insights through detailed monthly reports.
- Monitoring Trends: Stay informed of industry trends and communication dynamics to capitalize on engagement opportunities.
- Engaging Community: Interact actively with followers, promptly respond to comments and messages, and cultivate an inclusive online community.
- Staying Updated: Remain current with the latest trends, algorithms, and best practices to continuously refine our approaches.
- Developing Strategy: Formulate and implement an advanced social media, content creation and audience engagement strategy to enhance visibility across brands and achieve business objectives.
- Direct outreach and audience engagement: Use email marketing campaigns and attend conferences to build communities around different initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience- The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Familiarity with social media KPIs, web traffic metrics, and SEO
Qualifications:
- Fluent in various social media platforms and tools, including but not limited to Adobe (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.), Later, Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, etc.
- Prior experience designing ads and other creative assets
- Possesses a deep understanding of all social media platforms, algorithms, best practices, and audience engagement
- Track analytics
- Comfortability learning new technology and tools
- Experience engaging and exciting stakeholders around a mission, resource or product
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize workflow to meet short- and long-term deadlines.

Working Conditions and Additional Considerations:
The role is primarily in the office – 3 days per week with the option to work remotely two days per week. The position requires regular attendance during work hours. Though the environment for this role is primarily an office environment, the position is required to occasionally attend off-site meetings with the occasional travel to
conferences.
