Position: Member Service Consultant lll
Status: Full-Time, some Saturdays
Salary Range: $22.00 to $28.18 per hour

Summary:
The Member Services Consultant Ill (MSC Ill) is expected to deliver unparalleled member service while providing advanced consultative services. The MSC Ill is expected to provide excellent member service and be accountable for cross-selling goals and promotional opportunities offered to our members. Responsible for providing advanced knowledge of various financial services such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificate accounts, and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Open New Accounts through Meridian, comply with Eligibility Requirements, and with compliance.
· Home Banking setup process, including e-statements.
· Instant issue debit and credit cards
· Handles member account and card fraud claims.
· Completes payroll deductions and authorization forms.
· Renews and updates certificate accounts.
· IRA Certified Specialist -Maintains IRA accounts and answers questions regarding IRAs,
· Processes and funds loan applications when available
· Take an application on Meridian Link for the best consumer loan product/s for the member.
· When opening new members' accounts through Meridian, pull credit for full credit review and processing.
· Call and email members to follow up.
· Cross-sell and refer other products such as mortgages and Foothill Investment Services
· Maintains advanced knowledge of all loan products.
· Process Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC)
· Provide Notary Public Services
· Assists team members as required and provides whatever assistance is needed by members entering the branch, including covering the teller line when needed.
· Enthusiastically leads team by example to achieve key branch and organizational goals.
· Assists in training new team members.
· Achieves designation of Certified Financial Counselor through the CUNA program
· Authorized for medallion signature guarantees.
· Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly.
· Performs other duties as needed.
Requirements:
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years in personal banking, preferably within credit union operations, working in such departments as New Accounts. IRAs, Lending, ATM, etc.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Good understanding of Credit Union services and products
- Processing home equity line of credit
- Must have a solid understanding of the following regulations and statutes.
Desired certifications in the following areas:
- NMLS License
- IRA Certified
- Notary

- A valid California Class C Driver's License, a method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions, and at least minimum automobile insurance coverage as required by the State of California
