Title: Field Electrician
Summary
At Smart Electric Company, Inc., we specialize in the water and wastewater industry. We primarily provide services for treatment plants and booster pump stations in the western North Carolina and upper South Carolina area. Our services include, however, are not limited to, the installation of generators, switchgear, transfer switches, VFDs, transformers, panelboards and more… We are currently looking for an individual to fill the role of a Field Electrician.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform tasks as instructed by Foreman/Superintendent. Tasks will include, however not be limited to:
- Supervise a team of 2 - 4 members.
- Running all types of conduit.
- Pulling electrical cable.
- Terminating electrical cable.
- Maintaining daily time sheets and driver logs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Active state Journeyman license preferred, however not required.
- Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and OSHA safety standards.
- Able to read and comprehend blueprints.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience managing crews and material costs.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have own basic hand tools.
- Able to work Monday - Thursday with occasional Friday - Sunday as needed.
Income: $24.20 per hour.
