Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Machine Operator for the night shift. This role is essential for operating and troubleshooting machinery that produces high-quality products. Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures meticulously, including the operation of equipment with all safety mechanisms engaged.
- Handle equipment safely during emergencies and perform Lock-out/Tag-out procedures when necessary.
- Quality Assurance:
- Adjust machinery to meet job specifications and ensure the production of top-quality materials.
- Conduct tests and inspections, maintaining adherence to company scrap targets.
- Monitor product quality continuously and take corrective actions promptly.
- Productivity Enhancement:
- Meet or exceed production schedules with 100% on-time completion.
- Operate extruders and forming machines, manage finished products, and assist in the rail-car system as needed.
- Maintenance & Reporting:
- Perform preventive maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition.
- Report any processing or maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation of production and quality data.
Qualifications:
- Over 2 years of experience in plastics extrusion and plastic injection molding, including setup and feeder operations.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to operate a lift truck and handle floor loading trucks.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Flexibility to perform cross-functional roles.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
