Solli Engineering is seeking a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years experience in Civil Engineering to join our growing team in Monroe, CT. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team and contributing to the growth of an up and coming firm. Responsibilities will include the management of planning, design, permitting, preparation of specifications, septic design, stormwater calculations, and technical reports for a variety of land development projects. You will be able to see projects from initial concept through completion. Requirements:
Proven track record of successful Connecticut land development experience
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering;
Possess a valid Connecticut Professional Engineer License;
10+ years of experience in related site/civil land development engineering projects;
Knowledge of the Connecticut land use entitlement processes and local and state regulations;
Possess local experience with private developments performing site due diligence, preparing land use permits, understanding of zoning laws and presenting to municipal agencies;
Strong client development and client management abilities with ability to function as a seller / doer:
Respected, well-known and well-connected in the local marketplace;
Effectively manage projects from concept through construction documents;
Self-starter with the ability to manage, motivate, mentor and lead others;
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
Ability to effectively manage a team;
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite applications;
Expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis design including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance;
Experienced in report and proposal writing including sub-contractor cost estimation;
Reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid drivers license in good standing;
Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends;
