RN Transfer Center Manager FT Days Position Summary
Manages the day-to-day operations for the Tenet Transfer Center to ensure physicians, patients, nurses and other medical professionals are provided the highest quality service during the transfer process. Works with organizational stakeholders to ensure that transfers are placed appropriately with the Tenet facilities or transferred to a different level of care as appropriate as well as manages schedule and assists with training. Also works in conjunction with the director on initiatives and strategy for growth, development, and outreach initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensures Transfer Center is appropriately staffed to handle volume of incoming calls/transfers. Monitors call/transfer volume to ensure that resources are deployed appropriately. In conjunction with the Director, responsible for hiring, training, evaluating and the performance management of Transfer Center staff. Ensures that the organization complies with Federal and State regulations and company policies related to patient transfers (i.e. EMTALA, Referral Source Arrangements). Responsible for reviewing transfer center logs, analyzing data to present to Transfer Center Director to make recommendation to Group service lines. Ensures completion of daily Key Performance Indicators. Manages continuous improvement process for department and monitors completion of action plans. Handles Transfer Center calls as required during periods of high call volume, lack of staffing, etc. Assists Director and Outreach Business Development with Transfer Center to maintain existing referral base and to establish new sites.
THE RN TRANSFER CENTER MANAGER FT DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
EDUCATION
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
PREFERRED: BSN or MSN
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED: 5 years of experience in a critical care, emergency, or acute care setting with leadership experience.
PREFERRED: Prior experience managing a Transfer Center Program or management experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Registered Nurse License
PREFERRED: ACLS
