The primary focus of this position will be setting up and tearing down chairs for programs, removal of trash, removal of ice and snow, conduct security, mechanical checklists, and preform minor and/or emergency repairs and clean-up as needed. You must have a basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and proper cleaning ability to understand technical language and manuals used to install and repair machinery and equipment.
This General Maintenance position is a part-time, 1st shift, union-eligible position, including every other weekend, and some holidays with a pay range of $16.75 to $18.75 an hour. You will earn annual raises as part of the union and great benefits that are including in the link below:

Duties:
- Conduct security, mechanical and other checklist checks throughout the facility as required.
- Perform minor and or emergency repairs & clean-up as needed throughout the facility.
- Empty soiled linen hampers & trash containers in specific areas.
- Deliver flowers or packages to residents.
- Set up tables, chairs & other needs for programs & activities.
- Repair light bulbs & do minor electrical repairs.
- Do minor plumbing repairs.
- Change and or clean filters for heating and cooling equipment.
- Carry out work orders as assigned.
- Empty trash from garbage containers, chutes & trash carts.
- Lock all doors as scheduled (outside doors).
- Do snow removal and other outdoor projects as needed.
- Have skills in lawn care and equipment operation. Ability to work with tractors, spreaders, drillers, lifts and other equipment. Knowledge in lawns with grasses, shrubbery and outside work with lawn care. Chemicals as related to lawns and building structures and some knowledge in trees.
- Assist all other maintenance personnel in any task.
- Familiarize oneself with location and use of firefighting equipment, alarms and disaster procedures.
- Attend educational meetings planned for this position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school graduate or GED. Experience in general maintenance. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and proper cleaning ability to understand technical language and manuals used to install and repair machinery and equipment.
