SUMMARY:
The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) works under general supervision to perform diagnostic procedures for patients using a CT Machine. Responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections; use of aseptic injection techniques
- Produces high quality diagnostic images
- Orders supplies and cleans the workspace
- Effectively communicates with customers, doctors, and/or other staff members
- Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, etc.)
- Trains new CT Techs and/or support staff
- Start I.V.'s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol

Requirements:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Graduation from a Certified Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT(CT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
