Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a 2D Checker to join a shipbuilding company in Marinette Wisconsin. They will be responsible for checking the drafters 2D designs before passing those along to the manufacturing team. In addition to this they will also model and draft the 2D and 3-D work.
They will be creating models and drawings of ship structures
They will be sitting on the detail design team that is responsible for updating models and issuing changes.
They will be taking a 3D model and extracting it to 2D that is then sent to manufacturing. These models will be structural pieces of the ship (ceiling, stiffener plates). They will be Assisting with drawing revisions and updates
This is all done in AutoCAD and Ship Constructor

Experience using Navis, MS Excel, Bluebeam/Power PDF
Structural base experience within the shipbuilding/ship-work space
Associate degree with 5 years in related field on top of that or 10 years of experience in related field.
o Auto Cad, 2D design, 3D designs for foundations/structures
