Planet Interactive's luxury retail client is seeking a Media Planner with 5+ years relevant advertising industry experience for a direct-hire position starting in July 2024.
Media Planner Responsibilities
- Ensures that execution of responsibilities and projects are led with subject matter expertise and thought leadership for Advertising and Partnership teams.
- Ensures that budgets are followed and that budgeting decisions are made based on analysis and understanding.
- Ensures that internal budget roll-up across multiple media initiatives is managed in a way that guarantees all billing matches the budgets, invoices are received and sent to finance.
- Strategic goals are supported through the execution of all Advertising activities across all media channels.
- Ensures that all contextual environments considered are aligned with the departments initiatives and strategies.
- Ensures all media plans are properly evaluated and appropriate optimizations are considered.
- Ensures the media planning process across linear TV, digital video, digital display and print including all relevant negotiations is handled with integrity and aligns with the departments strategy and vision.
- Partner with Agencies and vendors to execute deliverables to client's standard of excellence.
- Effective monitoring of all media executions to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded and plan summaries are complete.
- Effective communications with global teams and sponsoring team to ensure proper execution of contractual media elements.
- Communication with media community at all levels with integrity by projecting the highest level of professionalism in all discussions and meetings when discussing the brand.
- Manage the team to ensure that all media plans are executed flawlessly and in a timely manner.
- Offer strategic insights and understanding of the luxury marketplace, client's position in it and be able to offer creative and innovative solutions to departments marketing initiatives.
- Understand, interpret and be able to explain media metrics, KPIs and ROI. Ensures support for the Partnership Manager in evaluation of content.
Media Planner Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year, accredited college or university.
- Experience in the media planning process is required along with thoughtful leadership and attention to detail.
- Ideal candidate will have the ability to work with multiple teams within the Advertising and Communications department.
- Strong knowledge of digital landscape and media partners is essential.
- Proven analytical skills and synthesis abilities.
- Understanding of the luxury advertising landscape is desired but not required.
