Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Checker to join a large ship building company in Marinette WI. They will be sitting on the design team working on all electrical components (cable ways, small foundations) All their models for equipment parts and cables are done in the 3d world. The main responsibility of this person is to check the models and drawings.
Modeling and drawing experience are needed, but they would not be required to solely model or generate drawings. They would mostly be checking the work of others.
They will receive functional 2D drawings such as cut sheets and arrangement drawings for the ship and create 3D drawings from them. They will do modeling to their functional diagrams. Minor meeting attendance-internal and external is required. They will be reviewing and checking work of others- everyone's work must go through a check. They must be able to estimate how long it would take them to complete a task. Standard office activities like tracking progress and supervision of others is required.

Shipbuilding/maritime background- IF NOT SHIPBUILDING, ANY CONSTRUCTION DESIGN LIKE CIVIL ENGINEERING, BUILDLING DESIGN, PLANT DESIGN would work.
Experience using Ship Constructor
AutoCAD experience- at least 5 yrs.
Experience with 3D and 2D
Associates (in related field to engineering, design, drafting) OR 10 yrs of experience in design field.
