Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager, Wholesale - Arizona, responsible for leading the company’s marketing efforts in Arizona in support of revenue targets across its brand & product portfolio. The manager will develop localized strategies for the company’s national and regional brand initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally with sales team, customer success team, and other regional counterparts to execute and deploy them across the market and key wholesale accounts. The manager will spearhead localized strategy surrounding new product launches, brand launches, marketing campaigns, events, key account development & support, and other local initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop market-specific activation plans working closely with national brand & product marketing, sales, customer success, and third-party accounts to identify efficient marketing strategies focused on revenue growth across the product portfolio.
- Spearhead the tactical execution of local marketing campaigns, including design, implementation, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
- Manage conception, development, and implementation of state-specific new product launch support, sales collateral, and promotional programs to garner awareness and drive sales.
- Lead development, management, and deployment of state-specific training & education material to ensure local teams and third-party accounts have the tools to successfully support & drive sell through of Verano’s brands & products.
- Provide direction and support to customer success team and sales team to drive meaningful and productive relationships, on-site interactions, in-store activations, and other support for wholesale accounts.
- Work with third-party accounts’ marketing & procurement counterparts to ensure Verano’s portfolio of brands & products are being properly supported in all accounts throughout the state across digital touchpoints, in-store assets, and staff interactions.
- Lead local planning and execution of events, including designing and leading Verano-led customer & consumer-facing events as well as driving participation in industry and third-party customer-led events, preparing engaging displays, collateral, and other activation elements as well as providing post-event reports and analysis.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to uncover state-specific insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing products.
- Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to translate data into actionable insights.
- Comfortable with team leadership and people management, with opportunity to move into role managing team of wholesale marketing managers across other key markets.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or applicable degree.
- 3+ years’ experience in a Wholesale Marketing, Field Marketing or Brand/Product marketing role. Experience in Fortune 500, highly regulated industries or high-growth/emerging markets a plus.
- Experience in marketing product portfolios and an understanding of CPG pricing strategy, working interdepartmentally to manage development and implementation of roadmap, focused on bottom line performance and topline growth.
- Superior time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines – detail oriented.
- An analytical mind and ability to think critically while absorbing data from several inputs.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and capable of creating visually compelling presentations.
- Proven knowledge of communications and marketing ethics and best practices.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
