Per Diem
Summary:
The primary responsibilities include the clinical management of patients referred to the Wound and Ostomy Center for evaluation and treatment of non-healing ulcers and ostomy care. This includes patient education, diagnostic testing, diagnostics results review, collaboration with Medical Director and other specialists, facilitation of appropriate referrals, coordination and clinical follow-up of wound and ostomy patients. Assumes responsibility for the supervision and coordination of patient care at the Wound and Ostomy Center. Assists in the development of staff. Prescribes appropriate treatments in collaboration with Nursing staff and Medical Director. Evaluates and refers patients to surgeons, physicians, specialists as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: Current CT RN license and Nurse Practitioner license and certification from ANCC/AANP. APRN, Masters of Science in Nursing. Licensed for prescriptive authority in CT. Clinical experience in Wound Care, CWOCN preferred, Demonstrates proficiency in surgical debridement, experience with current wound care treatment options and ostomy care.
